WEOB ACADEMY

Learn the tools.
Understand
the work.

A 90-day integrated technical-design programme: 60 days of institute training and 30 days of supervised factory exposure. PYTHA is the core learning path, supported by tools introduced where the workflow needs them.

KNOWLEDGE WITH PURPOSE

A drawing should
carry understanding.

Knowing a tool opens a possibility. Understanding when and why to use it turns that possibility into useful work.

Students progress from design and modelling to documentation, production data, manufacturing exposure and industry readiness. PYTHA remains the master subject; supporting software is introduced at relevant workflow stages. Clear drawings, materials, assembly and production decisions are part of the same learning path.

With a maximum of six students, there is room to ask, practise, revisit and improve. The aim is practical understanding and the confidence to use it.

THE LEARNING JOURNEY

From the institute
to the factory floor.

Learn with a clear mind, practise with purpose, and see how each decision carries into production.

01 / INSTITUTE60 calendar days

Build your understanding.

PYTHA-led training connects modelling, documentation, production data and visualisation.

02 / FACTORY30 calendar days

Connect it to the work.

Supervised exposure connects classroom outputs with materials, machines, fabrication, assembly and project control.

60-DAY CLASSROOM TRAINING

Six modules.
One connected workflow.

01 / MODULE

Foundation

Interface, units, coordinates, geometry and file discipline.

02 / MODULE

Furniture modelling

Carcass, fronts, drawers, hardware zones and assembly logic.

03 / MODULE

Advanced modelling

Inputs, libraries, parametrics, site constraints and freeform modelling.

04 / MODULE

Technical drawings

Plot sheets, sections, dimensions, details and revisions.

05 / MODULE

Production data

BOM, materials, edge logic, Workshop/CNC preparation and handover.

06 / MODULE

Visualisation

Rendering and visual communication for furniture and interior projects.

30-DAY FACTORY EXPOSURE

Understand how the work is made.

Materials & machines

PPE, receiving, boards, laminate/veneer, cutting, edge banding, CNC routing, tooling and batch control.

Fabrication & assembly

Hardware, bore patterns, tolerances, metal, glass, solid surface, finishing, lighting, final assembly and packing.

Project control

Production release, RFIs, vendors, site verification, quality audits, installation sequence, redlines and final review.

Supporting software: where each tool fits

SketchUp Concept-model review, units, groups/components, tags, scenes, purge and controlled export.

AutoCAD 2D DWG/DXF cleanup, units, layers, polylines, blocks, purge and validation.

Illustrator Vector, logo and profile cleanup, closed paths, outlined text and export scale.

Photoshop Texture setup and limited render post-processing while preserving the original output.

CAD-BID Production-data, BOQ and quotation workflows during the production-data stage.

These tools are integrated into relevant lessons rather than taught as disconnected extra courses.

Production data, BOQ & quotation

CAD-BID integration covers project-data readiness, categories and units of measurement, products and rates, materials, edges and finishes, waste assumptions, multi-trade BOQs, hardware and installation allowances. Students compare models, drawings and BOMs and complete a supervised BOQ and quotation audit.

Training quotations are learning exercises. Live prices, GST/tax, HSN codes, margins and commercial decisions require authorised company, dealer or accounting review.

These are calendar periods. Holidays and time for rest are respected; teaching dates and session hours are confirmed with each batch. Higher-risk equipment, including metal laser cutting, may be demonstration-based under factory rules.

A THOUGHTFUL START

Your interest
comes first.

Students and parents are welcome to discuss the programme together. The student’s own interest is the starting point.

  1. A personal conversation

Share your interests, current experience and what you want to learn.

  2. A simple starting assessment

A gentle way to understand your current knowledge and where guidance would help.

  3. A clear learning decision

Discuss the programme, expectations and schedule before deciding to join.

FOR STUDENTS & PARENTS

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Do I need to bring a laptop?

You may use your own suitable laptop. WEOB systems can be used within WEOB premises only. We will discuss the available arrangement before enrolment.

Is PYTHA access included?

Students using their own laptops may receive approximately six months of PYTHA access, subject to confirmation from the licence provider. The applicable access terms will be explained before enrolment.

Will I operate every factory machine?

Practical exposure is supervised and follows factory safety rules. The activities depend on your readiness and the factory’s rules. Higher-risk equipment, including metal laser cutting, may be demonstrated.

Does the programme guarantee a job?

No job is guaranteed. The programme aims to strengthen practical knowledge and confidence. Where suitable opportunities arise, companies may be introduced to graduates whose skills match their requirements.

Can an existing company team receive training?

Yes. Company training is arranged through Software Solutions. It can follow your company’s own standards without the Academy’s factory phase.
